Stephan Marienfeld belongs to a newer generation of artists and sculptors who focus on transforming geometric forms in their works. His works are characterized by a combination of clean lines and vibrant colors, giving them a unique aesthetic.

There is a long tradition of using geometric forms in art history, especially in classical sculpture. However, Marienfeld breaks away from this tradition by transforming the forms and creating new, modern interpretations.

Stephan Marienfeld became internationally known for his signature BONDAGE sculptures. He plays with the tension and curvature of surfaces and the resulting light reflections, making his works distinctive, independent, and striking. In his sculptures, he combines aluminum with vibrant colors and uses bronze to give them a certain depth and structure, bringing them to life. This provides the viewer with a unique artistic experience.

In his work, Marienfeld places great emphasis on aesthetics and color combinations, making him an important contributor to the international contemporary art scene.

The technical brilliance of Marienfeld's works and his own, unmistakable formal language have opened the artist's doors to renowned international collections.
His works can be found at, among others, the NATIONAL-BANK Essen, the Museum VOORLINDEN in Wassennaar, the Museum im Glaspalast/Collection Prof. Walther in Augsburg, the Pinakothek der Moderne in Munich and the CHATEAU LA CROIX DES GARDES in Cannes, France.

His works have been exhibited internationally, including in Paris, Monaco, Aspen, New York, Dubai, Singapore, Hong Kong and Beirut.
Two of his works DISLIKE were on display at the Venice Biennale in 2019 in the outdoor area of the Palazzo Mora.
