AN ART COLLECTION THAT INSPIRES
ART NEEDS SPACE
With an opening evening on March 15th 2024 for artists, gallery owners and art lovers, we have opened a second location with exhibition spaces in Düsseldorf.
We are the art collectors Volker M. Kroll and Ralf-D. Müller who have been collecting contemporary art for more than 20 years and have now built up a broad collection.
ART NEEDS SPACE, but this space is not an end in itself, rather it is the basis for communication with interested viewers. Only then can art succeed in touching people, bringing them together and triggering new thoughts and impulses when engaging with an art work.
Guided by this intention, we have created spaces – the KM_16
and the newly opened KM_159 – at two locations in Düsseldorf where we present selected art work from our collection. At both locations, interested people are invited to be touched and inspired by the art work. We would like to promote this dialogue with art in order to encourage awareness-expanding, self-reflection and exchange with one another.
Looking to the future, we intend to make further parts of the collection public and would like to coordinate suitable steps with the cultural office of the city of Düsseldorf with which we can visibly contribute to the art and cultural scene in the city and beyond.
In coordination with the Düsseldorf Art Academy, we will also provide young artists with installation space for their work in addition to our permanent exhibition.
